Terrible narration

I had to stop listening. The narration was so terrible. I couldn’t stand it any longer.

Good book but mans voice doesn’t fit the character.

The mans voice cracks like my 14 year old teenager. Don’t love his voice for the character.

BAD MALE NARRATOR

I enjoyed the story. Would love to read the remaining two books, but I can't take the male narrator. His voice was too feminine. Kept thinking he was going to leave Vivian for her brother. Hopefully someday they'll redo the remaining books. GOOD STORY!

Voice performance

The male had too high a voice. If narrator had read male lead would have been much better. I didn’t even listen all the way through and want listen to rest of this series or any other books from this author

It Was Okay

I was pleasantly surprised this turned out to be duet narration, my favorite narration style. I really liked the way it was scripted, but I didn't love Kipiniak's voice, especially when he did Matt's voice. I loved Motyka's voice, and I liked the way Kipiniak did some of the other male voices.

I love rockstar romances, but I felt this one wasn't very well researched. The author didn't seem to realize that in the music business, agents and managers are not the same thing. They have different jobs, especially in California where this band resided. Mick starts off as an agent but ends the story as a manager. No, his job didn't change. I think the author forgot he was the band's agent and didn't really know the difference between the two. At the beginning, he is really doing the job of the band's manager despite begin referred to as an agent, but he's not doing it very well. He treats the band members atrociously, as though they work for him, not the other way around. All I kept thinking was that they're a huge band who's been famous for ten years, and he treats them like that? Like they're children? They should fire him and hire someone who treats them with respect.

Then it jumps ahead two years to the present. I wanted more details from those two years. The story got better, and I really liked the ending, but it dragged in places and was pretty predictable.

Liked the plot

The characters and the story are well written with depth. Just needs work on the narration. It was all over the place. Distracting from what was a good old fashioned love story with just enough edge.

Narrator is not good

Seriously. Narrator is so slow and monotone I couldn’t finish. It was like he was reading with very little inflection. Sad, because I like this author.

Horrible male voice

I enjoyed the series, but found the different male voices irritating. I don't understand the need to create a different voice for each character. It leads to weird voices and Matt's was just plain awful. Did no one actually listen to this created voice before proceeding with the whole recording?? Matt's voice was way too whiney and nerdy sounding for a rock star. Julian's was unnaturally growly. The narrator has a great voice when not forced into weirdness.

Struggled with male narration

I liked the story but hated the male voice. It made the leading man sound like a cartoon character. I finally had to stop listening. I will try to read the book instead. The voice was cringeworthy.
