Publisher's Summary

Six years ago, you voted to send troops into Afghanistan. One of those soldiers was my son, who never made it back. Now, I'm here to ask you, was it worth it?

The gathering was supposed to have been a perfunctory media exercise on retiring Senator Jackson Ridge's last day in office. When a grieving mother slips in and poses that simple question, though, everything from Ridge's own legacy to American interests in Afghanistan all get called into question.

Racing against a ticking clock and powerful figures that would prefer to keep things happening across the globe a secret, Ridge must call on every last favor he has accumulated over the course of his time in office in search of answers. Answers that ultimately have him looking at more than just the life of a fallen soldier when trying to decide if, in fact, it was all worth it....

24 Hours to Find Answers

Senator Ridge is retiring, when a mother ask why and how her son died. He has to pull in all his favors and markers, can the question be answered. A good plot with emotion and a good political thriller to the end. Was also given audio which enhanced this good story. For my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Fast paced thriller mystery book!

One last day

New to me author and I mainly listened to it on audible and it was a fantastic fast paced read for me. I know your not supposed to judge a book by its cover or even the blurb but I was taken aback from this story. It’s not too focused on politics like I thought it would be and I really enjoyed this book. The author does such a fantastic job of describing locations vividly that I feel like I’m looking at a picture or standing there. Page turner till the last pages.
The narrator was fantastic as well. Riveting and enthralling!

Government Intrigue

Visuals of the plot well drawn through heavy description. Current, iterest topic. Characters very recognizable. Narration clear as a bell and pleasant, not a newscast shrill voice; rich tone, good transitions. Feel like you've just watched a visual presentation of events.
