In 1808, Elizabeth Bennet is young, curious, and in possession of an invitation to a London party which she ought not to attend. Unable to resist the temptation, Elizabeth indulges her wish to see a party of the beau monde and finds herself in a dangerous situation. She is saved from a desperate fate by Mr. Darcy of Pemberley, but relief is short-lived. Mr Gardiner arrives and demands satisfaction on behalf of his young niece’s honor.

Mrs. Bennet and her sister are bound for Bath to take the waters. The mistress of Longbourn could not part from her duties if it were not for Mrs. Gardiner of Gracechurch Street. At Elizabeth’s request, her favorite aunt has offered to take up residence for the few months Mrs. Bennet is absent.

Disheartened and convinced by Elizabeth's assertion of Miss Bingley's character, Jane Bennet insists Elizabeth return to London with the Gardiners after Christmas to provide her with a reprieve from their mother, who has not accepted Elizabeth's rejection of Mr. Collins's suit.

Elizabeth Bennet dreads encountering Mr. Darcy when she visits Pemberley, for surely, after she spurned his offer of marriage, he must despise her. Yet they do meet, and to her astonishment, he holds no resentment towards her. Regrettably, someone else does. Both are offended and angry. Can they find their way through rough challenges to achieve their happily ever after? Of course they can. This is Mr. Darcy and his Elizabeth.
