About this listen

Joe, the golf club Honorary Treasurer, drops dead while playing a shot into the ninth green.

When the autopsy reveals that Joe, a charismatic character, a gambler and womaniser, has died of cyanide poison, the question arises as to whether he has been murdered or committed suicide.

Brian is co-opted as "Hon Treas" and finds he has inherited a mess.

A Property Developer wants to buy the club land and build on it. Joe was acting as go-between in organising bribes for the Development Committee. The money has gone missing. And everyone, including Joe's wife, his mistress, and his business partner, have a motive to kill him.

While his own marriage is going through a rocky patch, Brian must deal with the intentions of Joe's wife and also Joe's mistress.

And he takes the opportunity to merge his business with that of the now dead Joe.

And then the female Detective investigating the case makes an unusual proposition.

A "whodunnit" thriller in a modern urban setting.
