As Greg enters the new school year, he's eager to put the past three months behind him...and one event in particular. Unfortunately for Greg, his older brother, Rodrick, knows all about the incident. And secrets have a way of getting out...especially when a diary is involved.

Story
Rowley's best friend Greg Heffley has been chronicling his middle-school years in 13 Diary of a Wimpy Kid journals...and counting. But it's finally time for listeners to hear directly from Rowley in a journal of his own. In Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid, Rowley writes about his experiences and agrees to play the role of biographer for Greg along the way. (After all, one day Greg will be rich and famous, and everyone will want to know his life's story.) But Rowley is a poor choice for the job, and his 'biography' of Greg is a hilarious mess.

Publisher's Summary
Jeff Kinney brings the series back to its roots as Greg starts a new school year and faces a challenge he never could've imagined.
Life was better in the old days. Or was it?
That's the question Greg Heffley is asking as his town voluntarily unplugs and goes electronics-free. But modern life has its conveniences, and Greg isn't cut out for an old-fashioned world.
With tension building inside and outside the Heffley home, will Greg find a way to survive? Or is going 'old school' just too hard for a kid like Greg?

The title, a little off track
I liked the story, even though it was a little misunderstanding and the title, I really couldn’t understand. Why is it called old school? They should just give more detail with the title so I know what they were talking about.

Really good book!!!
I chose this rating because the grammar by the narrator was a little rusty, but everything else was fine.
I would recommend this book to 7 and over.
This was a really enjoyable and funny book, I couldn’t stop listening to it.
