About this listen
Billy Jim Horton, a reporter for the Fort Worth Daily, hears a story about an old man in Paradise Texas that claims to be Billy the Kid. History has "the Kid" being shot and killed in 1881 by Sherriff Pat Garrett. The dditor of the paper allows Billy Jim to use his forthcoming vacation to follow the story.
On arrival in Paradise; Billy Jim falls in love with the owner of a cafe and he seeks out the man that claims he is Billy the Kid. William Roberts is about as happy to see him as the Klu Klux Klan would be to see a member of the Black Panther Party.
