Annoying production

The production of this recording is pretty hard to get over...I listen to 80-100 books a year...and this is among the worst. Leave the dings and songs on the playground where they belong. Not sure who advised Jennifer to do this, but I would reconsider who you listen to in the future. She is a very good reader, and the topic is right on and powerful, I just had a difficult time shifting to a more positive outlook because every 30 seconds I was being annoyed with a ding or a dong. If I were Jennifer, I’d reproduce a more professional version.

Oh shift!

Would you consider the audio edition of Oh, Shift! to be better than the print version?

Love this growth mindset! I loved starting to read the book and the format of her writing. So I really like the having the book plus you get the little card you can carry with you to remind you of shift philosophies. However, I tried reading this several times and I am a slower reader. Literally go this audio and I was able to hear the whole book in less than 3 hours, plus I think this book will be good to read again periodically.

What did you like best about this story?

The growth mindset. Loved the polla story best, makes me almost pee myself every time I hear it or read it.

What does Jennifer Powers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I really like the text because of the font and sentence structures of the actual text. You do get to hear it faster than possibly reading it yourself. She is funny and she does her best her to change her voice.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Oh, Shift!?

I am a now devoted Shift Head and hope to flip my knee jerk reactions.
