for the most part the story was good.. but OMG! the lack of truthful communication was frustrating.. another mysogenistic trait that happens often through the story is him telling her to shush.. I swear I would punch him 😳.. will I get the next in the sert.. probably not.

A well plotted story with enough twists to make it interesting, and an ending that takes you into the next book in the series. I find with many of these romantic tales have heroines who are supposedly intelligent but have doubts about their hero's feelings and intentions without a causative action or words on the part of the hero. This did happen in this story but the heroine's self reflection resolved them far more quickly and more satisfactorily, which made these moments feel more plausible and the plot tension less contrived. Good narration.

It was a vastly different theme from what I have listened to. The balance of characters worked well and had an interesting ending, leaving everything open for a sequel.
