Utterly Delightful!
The family listened to this on a long drive. It was a wonderful story, well written, well narrated, and a total delight. Even the skeptical teens couldn't wait to turn it back on after stops.
This is a top choice in children's fiction.

Loved it!
Andrew Clements has done it again. We listened to this on car rides and I probably enjoyed it as much as the kids.

love the main theme.
I really enjoyed most of this story. I am amazed at the moral of this book. I am double mined on the end with the principal but I think it has endearing qualities. interesting!

Clements did it again!
I bought one copy of the book for my bookshelf and had 124 Fifth graders fighting to check it out, so I decided to buy the Audible version and we listened to it while we did our work (and yes, they still were fighting to check out the book to my surprise!)
And of course, Clements story is wonderful.
This ended up being one of my best teaching tips for keeping a large class of rowdy kids quiet for a good length of time :-)

My review
It was a great story!
But it had some impolite language (L).
Thanks a lot. 🙏😊

Delightful children's book, ages 8 to 12.
I purchased and listened to No Talking in 2009, but failed to rate or review it. I just finished listening to it again and it is wonderful. The subject of the book is 5th grade boys and girls having a two day contest to not talk at all except for a 3 word limit in response to teachers. It's girls against boys. It is an uplifting and endearing little story that is well worth the cost in money and time.
