Publisher's Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

A gripping Jack Reacher thriller from the number one best-selling authors Lee Child and Andrew Child.

Gerrardsville, Colorado. One tragic event. Two witnesses. Two conflicting accounts. One witness sees a woman throw herself in front of a bus—clearly suicide. The other witness is Jack Reacher. And he sees what really happened—a man in grey hoodie and jeans, swift and silent as a shadow, pushed the victim to her death, before grabbing her bag and sauntering away.

Reacher follows the killer on foot, not knowing that this was no random act of violence. It is part of something much bigger...a sinister, secret conspiracy, with powerful people on the take, enmeshed in an elaborate plot that leaves no room for error. If any step is compromised, the threat will have to be quickly and permanently removed.

But when the threat is Reacher, there is no plan B....

Reacher has changed.

I have always enjoyed the Reacher books. But of late, they seem to lost a touch of humanity. Reacher is just acting like robot. Doing what is expected of him with a bit more gratuitous violence than necessary. I would need to reread some early books to put by finger on the difference.

narrator

Terrible narrator, monotone and unexciting. So disappointed I wasted a credit on my all time fave Jack Reacher. Hard copy it is!!

Almost Classic

I you don't like the narration then you don't get Jack Reaches.. Jeff Harding is the man.

Narration was good. Story was as gripping as ever.
Captivating like all other Lee Child novels.

Couldn’t even finish it!!

Why has Jeff Harding started to read like this?? It’s the same cadence and downward inflection throughout the early stages of the book and I could not get past it!!
Guys, listen to anything read by Ray Porter to hear how it should be done!!!

Love it

Love Jack Reacher, however implausible the story may be. Love the narrator. His almost dry delivery is exactly right.

Such a great story.. can’t wait for the Amazon Series 😂

Loved the story. Very suspenseful & great build up. The on,y downside was the audio reader had basically 3 voices they could do. Getting more actors to read the story would make this so much more immersive.
