About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

'Everything needs to change. And it has to start today.'

In August 2018 a 15-year-old Swedish girl, Greta Thunberg, decided not to go to school one day. Her actions ended up sparking a global movement for action against the climate crisis, inspiring millions of pupils to go on strike for our planet, forcing governments to listen, and earning her a Nobel Peace Prize nomination.

This book brings you Greta in her own words. Collecting her speeches that have made history across Europe, from the UN to mass street protests, No One Is Too Small to Make A Difference is a rallying cry for why we must all wake up and fight to protect the living planet, no matter how powerless we feel. Our future depends upon it.

This is a series of speeches by Greta. It’s scary to think in 8 years time (listened to in 2022) in 2030 a catastrophic event May happen that will change our planet for ever. It certainly made me want to learn more about the Paris agreement and the IPCC and to face the fact that we do have a climate crisis and ice probably been part of the problem. Time to see how I can change. Thank you for being brave, passionate and scared for your future Greta, and for articulating your concerns so well.

I honestly can’t help but be knocked off my feet by Greta, and how much she’s achieved in getting the message and urgency of the climate crisis out the the greater population. I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook & found it inspiring to do more

Very confronting and very Intense. Dont be deterred because of her age. I would highly recommend everyone listen to this.

This is a short collection (112 pp) of speeches by Greta Thunberg covering climate change, political inaction, and addressing some of issues people have raised with her. Whether you agree with her or not, Thunberg is a clear and powerful speaker and her words make for uncomfortable listening. While it is tempting to merely marvel at the achievements and fame of one so young, it entirely misses her point: her generation and subsequent ones will be left with the repercussions of current (in)action and will not be in a position to take action themselves for many years. The audiobook, read by Greta herself, gives her words extra power, which is surprising given how dispassionately she speaks.

Uncomfortably powerful!
