About this listen

The discovery of Gemma Whiting's bludgeoned body within spitting distance of her family home, opens a new case for DI Sally Parker, one that quickly embroils her in Gemma's feud with male family members. The more Sally digs, the longer her suspect list grows. Frustrated after months of investigation, yet another young woman is attacked close to where Gemma's body was found. Was this story originally written in a different language and translated?
The Narrator first language is definitely not English as the reading is quite stilted.
The character’s personalities seemed off and the way they communicated not natural? That’s why I wondered if it had been translated? It’s seems a lot has been lost in translation.

Weird characters terrible narrator

This might have been a good novel but in audio form, I found it to be unlistenable. Gave it until chapter 6 but life’s too short. So stilted.

Painful to listen to
