Turns out, my new boss hates three things:
1. Small town drama. Baby, we've got tons.

But how could I resist the best mystery in Heart's Edge?
I wish I had. Unraveling Gray is a dangerous game.

Plus this gorgeous, complicated grump plays for keeps.

Then one stolen, five alarm kiss sends my whole world spinning.
Hello, trouble. Farewell, sanity.

Too much head thinking

This was the second book in the series that I read. I found the continual self conversation about the angst of the lead hero tiresome constantly going over in his head how horrible awful he was because of his deeds in the past. And then find out that there was reasonable cause for his actions. There was minimal every day action going on Again because we were too busy going over in our head how horrible we were, it just got a little tiresome. I would’ve liked to have seen more of the couple from the first book. The men were supposed to be very good friends and know each other secrets I thought. It is nice to continue the storylines and include them more than just a line or two . The lead female was ok. There were some good funny lines here in the story mostly from our female showing that she had a good sense of humor.

I did jump through chapters because it just got repetitive it self conversation. I thought the ending was nice it would’ve been nicer to include their first child and Warren and Haley in the closing chapter story.

🌻The mixed reviews baffle me🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

I don’t get the negative comments made in some of the reviews. This book is so much better than book one. The characters are more complex, the plot is more original and intense and the writing is superb. So many romances are cookie cutter predictable, not this one. Everything came as a surprise and there were daring escapes that actually had my heart racing right along with the characters. I admit, the Heroine was a bit immature and her clumsiness annoyed me but, It was who she was. My only real complaint was the lack of medical knowledge the author lacked. Admittedly, most readers/listeners would likely not notice but, being in the medical field, every mistake stood out like a beacon, for me. I would suggest more research, by the author, or having a medical professional to consult and/or read over the medical situations and suggest corrections.

With that being said, this is definitely a worthy listen, even if you have to spend a credit in order to enjoy it.

I love me some good big conspiracy action.

This started out cute with the clumsy young new hire, all awkard because she's 15 years younger and takin all the glares from the other women. Then the series arc busts through and I'm interested in finding out more in the third book. There are some hot scenes, but this book is long and feels it at times. 😕
I love Fuschia! One badass classy b*tch! ❤ Accidentally listened to her book but no regrets.

Dialogue

There is way too much dialogue. Nicole, you lose the flavor of the story with all the dialogue. Shoots people could live, die, and be on the next generation by the time you finish with all the flowery discord. Fewer words would probably make the story flow better. Sadly however, I won’t struggle through another story.
?? Also, you seem to punctuate everything with profanity. Is “GD” a necessary part of a conversation? I am sure you could find other words to fit your needs.

this is a joke...right?

wow...finally a book that has surpassed the drivel written by marilyn quayle as the worst book ever...the heroine is an idiot...the premise is beyond ridiculous...words cannot describe just how bad this is...the narrator deserves an award to have been able to read this hot mess without laughing

Too much self flagellation

Too much of the hero’s negative thoughts.....I hung in until about Chapter 10 before I started skipping ahead....the story just moves way too slowly!

so many secrets

If time to read is an issue this is the best way to get your Nicole Snow fix. Hearts Edge is the target once again but Gray "Doc" and Ember are a force to be reckoned with. As the danger creeps closer these two discover the true meaning of love and won't stop to keep the people they call family and the town that stole their hearts safe.

A little dissappointing

Firstly I'm a nicole snow fan and have enjoyed all her books that I've read. This one I just couldn't get into. I don't know if it was the male narrator or the doc character I just didn't warm to. sometimes he seemed to go on and on trying to be profound but I just got bored and skipped through his dialogue at times.
Embers character seemed very naive, and silly with her constant falling over nothing. I didn't find doc's attraction to her believable. I wasn't really rooting for them. I did persevere and finish although I wanted to give up a few times. I'll still be purchasing nine's story when its available on audible but this one just wasn't for me.
