Great listen, I really enjoyed it, but the story line seemed very familiar, there was a CSI episode called Feeling the Heat in 2003 that is very similar, albeit no court case,

Narration was very good.

Good story, not totally original.

Next of Kin by Kia Abdullah is one of those books that grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go. The premise alone is chilling—a child left in a car to die—and the story spirals into a tense, morally complex question of who is really to blame. Abdullah masterfully peels back layers of guilt, justice, and family loyalty, keeping you constantly second-guessing everyone. And that twist… absolutely jaw-dropping—this is a must-read for anyone who loves sharp, thought-provoking thrillers.

A must read
