Accompanied by the mysterious Door and her companions, the Marquis de Carabas and the bodyguard Hunter, Richard embarks on an extraordinary quest to escape from the fiendish assassins Croup and Vandemar and to discover who ordered them to murder her family - all the while trying to get back to his old life in London Above. Adapted for radio by the award-winning Dirk Maggs, this captivating dramatisation features a stellar cast including David Harewood, Sophie Okonedo, Benedict Cumberbatch, Christopher Lee, Anthony Head and David Schofield. Contains over 25 minutes of additional unbroadcast material, including extended scenes, bloopers and outtakes.

Amazing cast.
I was a fan of the book and the show so it's no surprise I loved the audio version with such an exceptional cast of voice actors.

Fantastic show! highly recommended
I absolutely adored it! the beautifully recognizable voices from some of the greatest actors from the UK were stunning and very well presented. A simple storyline but enthusiastically performed made it consistantly engaging.

Brought the book to life perfectly!
I loved the book, and was thrilled with this version. An amazing voice cast, excellently played characters with great casting.

Great listen
Really enjoyed this- wasn’t sure what to expect when I started it but I loved it. Some fantastic voices sprinkled through. Wish there was more! Will definitely listen again!

Brilliant
I was captivated with this book right from the start. The cast - especially James McAvoy as the lead character - was just brilliant.
In fact I loved it so much I listened to the book again straight away. I don’t think I’ve ever done that before for any book. So huge Qudos to the entire cast for making this a great listen.
The story itself was entirely mythical and really well written.

Brilliant.
Great story , great character voices didn't want to turn it off , enjoyed it as much as the Samdman .

becoming expected..
Another fantastic performance to a Neil Gaiman novel... im coming to expect excellence when I download these now. fantastic voice acting, engaging story line and great characterisation by the cast. wish it was twice as long.
