Publisher's Summary

One day Raymond Francis, a chemist and graduate of MIT, found himself in a hospital, battling for his life. The diagnosis was acute chemical hepatitis, chronic fatigue, multiple chemical sensitivities, and several autoimmune syndromes, causing him to suffer fatigue, dizziness, impaired memory, heart palpitations, diarrhea, numbness, seizures, and numerous other ailments. Knowing death was imminent unless he took action, Francis decided to research solutions for his disease himself. His findings and eventual recovery led him to conclude that almost all disease can be both prevented and reversed.

In Never Be Sick Again, Francis presents a seminal work based on these findings—a revolutionary theory of health and disease: there is only one disease (malfunctioning cells), only two causes of disease (deficiency and toxicity), and six pathways to health and disease (nutrition, toxins, psychological, physical, genetic, and medical). This remarkable book answers these questions: What is health? What is disease? Why do people get sick? How can disease be prevented? And how can it be reversed? It will teach listeners, in one easy lesson, an entirely new way to look at health and disease with an approach that is easy to understand yet so powerful that they may, indeed, never have to be sick again.

Providing a basic understanding of health and disease, this book takes the mystery out of disease. It provides listeners, no matter what their present physical condition, with a holistic approach to living that will empower them to get well—and stay well.

Full of misinformation.

Saturated fats are bad, while whole grains are healthy. On this advice the population got metabolically sicker including fatty liver and type 2 diabetes. Saturated fat is rigid and that causes arteries to become rigid? By that logic we couldn’t eat any fruit or grains. By that logic vegetable/seed oils would be healthy. At least I didn’t have to pay for this book. For better info read The Big Fat Surprise by Nina Teicholz.

The author is an anti vaccine.

The author cited a lot of questionable data. The book felt more like somebodies theory verses an actual health book.

Life changing knowledge

This book will wake you up. It has change my like and the way I see the Medical system and even out public education forever. I have shared this book with everyone in my contacts wether I remembered who they were or not because at the the end of the day it doesn’t matter when it comes to Sharing knowledge on this level of understanding. 5 stars aren’t enough to rate this book properly. A true must read...We need to petition to have this added to all public schools curriculum.

Interesting

Very thought provoking. I really liked the book and the narrator. It's a shame what the government medical complex has come to. Only thing that could have been better is exactly how to buy products and food that are healthy and safe without going through the website that they are pushing. Will surely implement some of the suggestions.

Lack of Peer reviewed data

This book has some reasonable health information and many things that I agree with but I will take most of the information in this book with a grain of salt because of the following issues. The issues that I have with this book are
1. There is a lack of peer reviewed data to substantiate his claims.
2. He is anti-vax; He quoted anti-vax mis-information from the conservative anti-vax AAPS (Association of American Physicians and Surgeons). By not vetting his data in this case causes me to not believe any of his claims.
3. He promotes the use of his own BH products claiming that his products are substantially better than other brands without any data to substantiate his claims.

A very dangerous book

First I really struggled to get through this book since so much of it was repetition. It is poorly written going from anecdotes, to advice and back to anecdotes all in the same sentence. You never know what you're going to get.

But more importantly this book is full of assumptions and personal experience stated as fact. The author sometimes conveniently forgets to mention sources and draws causation conclusions where only correlation is proven. Plus the fact that he refutes himself at times. For example saying that by eating healthy like honza's or people in older times you should be able to never get sick. But then he still wants you to buy lots of huge vitamin supplements. Why are those needed if the honza's don't need them?

However I can save you some time and give you the helpful advice of this book in as short as possible: eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, but don't forget meat. Also get some exercise and get out of the house a bit. Plus give yourself opportunities to be happy and take full advantage of them.

So this is what I learned from this book. A very valuable lesson. But I don't recommend anyone to read it or listen to it.

A must have book - blueprint plan and execution for long healthy life

Sincere efforts made by the author and bald assertive criticism to commonly understood basic towards how we understand health and fight and cure disease and most important how to prevent illness.
The idea of taking lessons learned from long lived people from various spots in the world and applying it in our daily life style is bold and unique. The most important thing that it works and make sense.

Many thanks Mr Raymond and your deserve an Noble prize for what you are doing for humanity

Possibly the worst book on Audible

Staggered to see this book promoted on Audible. It is cringeworthy evangelistic in both sheet arrogance and absence of any interest in evidence.

For hours, the author tells you how amazing he is, how he has the secret, how every doctor and scientist is basically stupid and wrong. I listened for three hours before I gave up, in vain hope that the wild claims would stop and the credible content start.

I should have realised the book is b@&)@&&ks when the author used the bible (quoting Genesis, chapter and verse) that medical science is wrong and we should all live to 140 years with his secret miracle.

Three hours in the listener is no closer to any idea what the author is saying apart from repeated claims and demands for faith that you almost believe as the author repeats claims without evidence, but escalating appeals to emotion, repetition and rhetorical questions.

I stopped it when he advised people with cancer to stop all medical treatment to heal themselves. Dangerous c@&p that should be under the “extremist cult” section in Audible with a health warning, not promoted within the “medical” section.

Questionable science

I think there's a lot to be said for eating healthy and managing stress, but his theories of disease seem a little whacko to me.

In this book the author tells us how we can live to be 120 years old, and yet he died last year (2020) at a mere 83 -- I'm not entirely sure how he died, not much has been said on his website, but the claim of 'natural causes' seems a little ambiguous.

So, eat your greens, supplement properly, but don't listen to whacky ideas unless they're properly backed up.
