About this listen

"Necromancy is the magic of life and death, creating and sustaining life as well as taking it away."

Becoming a wizard was never Mithron's plan, until a friend of his herbalism master came to his village and offered to teach him magic. After learning of his fear and hatred of the undead, she reveals herself to be a vitae necromancer, dedicated to life-affirming magic and destroying such abominations. Once he becomes an apprentice, he thrives in a quiet life of study, but is forced to meet and make friends with others of their loose-knit mystical family.

This does not always go well. At a friendly competition, Mithron somehow sees the deepest pain of Glitter, sparking her hatred and disdain for Mithron.

After their home is attacked and his teacher is taken from him, Mithron goes out into the world to find the person or persons responsible, but is smart enough to know that he can't do it alone. Burying his pride and insecurities, he finds new friends--as well as making peace with Glitter--and seek clues to lead them to the mastermind behind the attack on both his home and Glitter's.
