Hier nimmt sein Leben die letzte, schreckliche Wendung: Obgleich geistig völlig gesund, wird Ernst Lossa 1944 die Todespritze verabreicht.
Der Autor berichtet aus der Perspektive des Jungen. Er macht die Denkstrukturen des NS-Regimes sichtbar und berichtet von der damit einhergehenden Ideologie der Euthanasie.
