Narrated by John himself, this is such a sweet book about his life from childhood. He expresses his love for his animals through the good times and how his heart broke for them in the bad. John's unique perspective on life, his animals and God, paint a picture of times gone by, transporting the reader to the slower pace of that world that once was. One can picture the peace of the English countryside as he tells of his love for organic farming without machinery. He talks so beautifully about the women in his life and the reader comes to know his mother and Shirley. .John's gentle soul touches the reader with emotion, love and awe, as he acknowledges God's love throughout his life.
I am so very happy to have this book in my library, read by this beautiful man for over 12 hours. There is no-one quite like John and it is a privilege to own one of his heartfelt creations. God bless you John and thank you.
