Publisher's Summary

Gamer vs Player.

Some girls have a dream guy, but Suzie's ideal boyfriend is totally real. He’s just...virtual.

Suzie doesn't need to see her online gaming buddy to know that he’s her perfect match. The problem lies in reality, AKA high school. Ever since a humiliating photo of her surfaced on the first day of senior year, she hasn't been able to escape the attention of Luke Warner, the hottie player who's apparently made it his mission to annoy her. Now that they're paired together in a programming contest there's no way she can avoid him...or their chemistry. His unexpected kisses might be earth shattering, but he’s so not her type.

Luke's got a secret, and it's one that could change everything between him and his new computer science partner. Suzie thinks he doesn’t know her at all, and she seems convinced that she doesn’t like him. But what if she knew that he was her online BFF? That would change everything. But will sharing his secret bring them together or tear them apart?

Suzie and Luke are the CUTEST!!

I ABSOLUTELY DEVOURED MY VIRTUAL PRINCE CHARMING!!!

I thought I loved the first book in the series. I did not realize it would be topped by the second book in the series! Maggie Dallen is an amazing story teller, and I love how she writes these books where you can listen to them as a standalone or as a series. You see characters from other books, but I do not feel it is necessary. Anything important from the first book was added in very well.

Suzie and Luke's chemistry is so sweet and off the charts. While I related more to being Margo (from the first book in the series,) Suzie is the girl I wish I was growing up. I love Luke's trope of being the popular guy who has this secret nerd life. I felt they brought out the best of each other.

This is perfect for anyone who loved the movie A Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray.

I loved that there was a female and male narrator for this story. I feel it adds an extra dimension when listening, plus I find it easier to follow along. Lauren Fortgang always does a great job with her voices and has a beautiful voice to listen to. Graham Halstead is new to me, but also did a fantastic job with voices and his emotions were so real!

I cannot wait for book three!

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request, and I have voluntarily left this review.

Fun and entertaining read

I really enjoyed Luke and Susie. They were fun characters and I found this story highly entertaining. I loved the interactions between Luke and Susie. He loved to tease but not in a mean way. The biggest issue that Susie had was she didn’t know why he was doing it all of a sudden and she didn’t like all of the attention it caused. I loved the way that they built their relationship. Luke was a genuine as could be even though he knew something Susie didn’t. He never tried to use it against her or to get what he wanted from her. He tried to go about it the best way of trying to build that connection in real life again that they had built online. I loved his antics and this was a lighthearted book for me. It was fun and I am excited for the next book in the series.

Okay, yeah, I kinda figured it was them.

I *heart* Luke! I remember having an online gaming bestie like that when I was younger and it was everything. I'm glad they had each other to confide in with their problems. But one thing I hated was how Margo (in the previous book) along with Suzie and Matt couldn't see that Jason and Luke were not friends with Supreme Moronic Leader and Resident Mean Girl. Sure, they hang around in the same social circles, but that didn't mean they were ACTUALLY friends. Luke just needed an excuse to escape from his father so he went to their parties, acquaintances be damned. Meanwhile, Jason needed to keep the guys in line as captain of the football team. I was also super peeved with Matt and his hang-ups with US vs. THEM mentality. Thankfully, Suzie Q proved to be super wise in that she recognizes holding on to anger only hurts herself. She and Luke make such a great team. They truly deserve their HEA! #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Sweet Teen Romance

The perfect mix of sweet teen romance and geeky fandoms. I loved book one and book 2 was just as good. This series reminds me of Geekerella. I'd definitely recommend for all those hardcore fans of comic con and book events. You'll find yourself smiling through the story.

Enjoyed It ..

3.5 stars This is the second book in the series and it had the same vibe as the first one which I really liked
This time we follow Suzie, Magro's friend.. she is a Game player and she has this friend online who she have a major crush on, little did she know that this person is actually Luke, the biggest flirt in the school .. Luke knows that Suzie is his virtual friend, so how can he convince her he is the right guy for her ?
the concept of the story is amazing, but the plot really needed more of a oomph to it .. but I did enjoy it, and I can't wait to read the third and final book
The narrators were great and I'm really glad I listened to this book

My Favorite in the Geeks Gone Wild Series

My Virtual Prince Charming is my favorite book in the Geeks Gone Wild trilogy. If you are only going to read one of Maggie Dallens books let it be this one. Suzie and Luke are the cutest and although not entirely original the story line is fantastic. It’s a great YA romance that I’m sure many other adults like me will adore. Lauren Fortgang is awesome as always and Graham Halstead did an amazing job (my first time listening to one of his narrations).

Full of Sweetness and Spunk

Luke has a secret. He much prefers an unknown gamer friend to the shallow people that he often socializes with. However, shallow parties offer an escape from his demanding father, so he still makes the rounds.
Matt and Julia come from different sides of the...cafeteria. She’s head cheerleader and he’s in the AV club.
One night, Luke sees Suzie getting wasted doing a keg stand at a party next-door to the party he is at. His sister once had an issue with alcohol at a party, so he jumped the fence to see if Suzie is in similar trouble. When he follows her to see if she is okay, he finds out a secret that suddenly makes him want to know Suzie better.
This is a sweet story about giving people a chance to prove their motivation is just, and not simply judging the proverbial book by its cover.

So enjoyable and sweet with great narration

Lauren Fortgang and Graham Halstead do a brilliant job with this story. I love the fact that I kind of tuned out and just got completely sucked into what was going on.

I just love this series so much. The characters are great and I get so sucked in to what is going on. I loved the setting and the computer element of it all, it just made me chuckle so very much. Such a sweet and enjoyable story. I hope there is another in this series.

My Virtual Prince Charming

The series had a great start with Love at First Fight and continues in that same fashion with book 2. I love the set up and the reason for the two of them working together it’s a great example of judging a book by its cover on both ends. Again a Great audio performance by Lauren Fortgang. Graham Halstead also had a wonderful performance but was not part of book 1s narration.

Cute YA listen

Totally on me for not reading the fine print, I didn’t realize this was YA. But even so it was so cute and sweet. I loved how the hero worked to prove himself but he definitely acted like a high schooler which I appreciate instead of a 18 year old acting like he was 20. Very cute and fun listen.

I love the geeks!

This series is just so much fun, I am loving it! Maggie Dallen can pick a trope, find that memory in my heart from high school and let me live it all over again in her humorous and lovable style! This is book 2 of the Geeks Gone Wild series and it gives us Suzie and Luke's story. Now me being a person who is online a lot, I can vouch for having friends, so when Suzie and Luke ended up playing the same video game under pseudonyms, I automatically fell for this story. Now the catch. Luke is a jock, but does have some nerdy tendencies. Suzie is one of the people really effected by the Geeks Gone Wild practical joke. Can these two really find their way to happiness? Dallen has crafted this story of jock falls for nerd in a contemporary setting, and had me laughing out loud at the antics at times. I love the characters, the struggles of finding that comfortable path in high school and fell for this couple. Luke especially intrigued me with his dual interests, since so many times, the jock never lets us know anything deeper than the game. It's fun, flirty, interesting and just a good time listen.

Narrated by Graham Halstead and Lauren Fortgang, we have incredible new adult sounds and a team that really compliments each other. They found that rhythm and made the characters real and believable. Together they have great comedic timing and I enjoyed the listen immensely.

Second in series

It would be better to start with the first book in the series as the events and characters from Love at First Fight factor heavily into this story as well. It's essentially a continuation of the same story without any cliffhanger endings between the books. It does give some context when the events are mentioned, but you would get a lot more out of this story if you've read the first.

As with the first book, I liked the dual narrators for the dual points of view. Overall, I liked the story but it the event seemed a little more typical of other high school stories when compared to the first book. (The unexpected response to the bullying was my favorite part of the first book.)

Geeks Gone Wild Book Two

Geeks Gone Wild Book Two.

Suzie is almost a senior. However, just before she begins her final year in high school, her stupid brother dared her to do a keg stand and her own friend entered the photo of that moment into the senior slideshow! Now, Luke is everywhere she turns - taunting her and teasing her to no end. She withdraws from her real life into her video games and the virtual friend who has caught her interest. When Luke realizes Suzie is actually the girl he's been chatting with for months, he doesn't know how to react. This Suzie is witty and spicy, but at school she is shy and nice. He is determined to draw out the online Suzie and show her that they should be together.

If you're looking for a fun high school romance with video games and teen angst, this is the book for you.

She is a gamer, but also a geek, he is one of the popular guys, but also a gamer. They have a virtual love, till they don’t. Enough said, won’t spoil all fun in this sweet young adult romance.
Lauren and Graham did a wonderful job bringing these characters to life.
