Dreadful

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A better narrator, a more believable story.

What could Maggie O'Farrell have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

She could have set up a relationship between Marcus and Lilly. Why did she love him??

How could the performance have been better?

The whole novel was narrated as if it was suspenseful.

I don't know why I kept listening to it. I think because other Maggie O'Farrell's books have been good.
