  • Summary

  • Growing up in a poor Yiddish speaking home in 1950s London, Lillian – then just a teenager – marries charming older man Raymond. One day he takes their children to the local park. But he never returns.

When they reappear 40 years later – the search for the truth begins.

Unfolding like a mystery, we follow Danny Ben-Moshe and his eccentric Jewish family as they unearth secrets, attempt to reconcile, and hear shocking news that sheds a new light on events.

This series builds upon the story from Danny's award-winning documentary film My Mother's Lost Children.

MOVING, TRIGGERING, but amazing story.

Loved it. I was adopted at birth, and have led a wonderful chaotic life, so parts were triggering. But at 61, I wish I had talked to people earlier in my life, as now I ll never now. J

A window into another time......

A story told in a sympathetic way, by the son of family two. I listened from start to finish in one sitting. Neither parent are the one you would choose for a small child. Lillian reminds us several times of how young she was when the children were abducted by their father. How it was a month before any real follow up was done. In my opinion which probably won't be popular she admits herself how easy it made it to marry again and start another family. Not someone oozing with maternal instinct.
the father was certainly no prize either.
The true victims were the children themselves and those of generations to come. My heart goes out to them.

heart warming tale

I binge listened to this tale ..your mum sounds positively beautiful.. I have no idea how she was able to sort of move on after the loss of her two children ,I don't think I could hatred would have been my driving force to finding my children .. all I can say is well done in telling your story
