About this listen

From Wattpad sensation Mercedes Ron comes the English translation of the first in the hit Culpable series, an angsty romance in which Noah falls for her new stepbrother, the boy who's leading a hidden double life under their family's nose.

Seventeen-year-old Noah Morgan lives a quiet, normal life with her mother in Toronto . . . until her mother meets and marries William Leister, a wealthy and enigmatic lawyer from California. Noah finds herself moving to LA, leaving her volleyball team, her best friend, and her boyfriend behind.

Upon arriving in her new life of private schools and pool parties, she meets her new brother, Nicholas-a college student, and seemingly the typical spoiled rich kid. Noah has no desire to get along with him, especially when she discovers Nick's secret life of clandestine car racing and street fights. Not to mention, Noah has her own demons on her tail, and doesn't want Nick's nose in any of them. But what the two don't account for is the powerful physical attraction between them—enough to turn their world upside down.

Can love conquer the dark side of these LA streets, or will Nick and Noah be swallowed by the dark things between them?

Contains mature themes.

The female voice definitely didn’t suit the story. Absolutely loved the storyline but it’s a pity the narrator’s kind of ruined it.

Story was amazing but the voices were terrible

Absolutely loved this book!
I am glad I read the book before watching the movie, as the movie left so much out and skipped over a lot of key moments in the book. I’ve also watched the new version- London, and still felt super disappointed at how much was left out. Both had different endings and moments in them, that were a variation from the book.
Excited to start the second book 🙂

LOVED this book

Love the story but the voices don’t quite match what I though after the movie, but overall very good. The voices was just something I noticed but still done very well. Love the book when I read it, listening is even better:)

Love the story

I didn't mind the story but found it very hard to listen to as the narration was terrible and didn't suit the characters, the FMC in particular. I will probably finish the series by reading instead of listening.

Terrible Narration

Story was OK. I think they did a lot better with the movie. Movie version of Noah was much better.
These narrators make the book incredibly cringe and her the tone of a sentence wrong more times than they get it right.

Narrators voice did not suit the character, sounded very cringe and made it hard to listen to

Great story, narration not great and super cringe

The story was great but to my expectations given it had a ‘bad boy’ the story line could/should have shown more dark fantasy (more detail).

After reading the first book I don’t have much interest in reading the second. It could have ended here. Not to say the second book isn’t worth it- because I haven’t read it but after the first I’m happy to leave it where it ended.

A favourite series of mine that I love is: “The wolf hotel” and “Jacksonville rays” which give more erotic detailing

Character development was awesome.

Keep scrolling and find something else. Everything from the narrators to the story line are the worst I’ve had. Doesn’t deserve one star.

Horrible!
