Publisher's Summary

There’s nothing quite like a Christmas love story to get you in the mood for celebrating....

Cara doesn’t do sexy, and she only does ‘Happy Christmas’ under duress. She is, after all, a serious musician, and her stubborn streak is born from her struggle to recover from a serious injury.

Javi lives for escapist fun - in his music and in his life - especially since he’s always failed at life’s more serious challenges, including marriage and fatherhood.

Javi and Cara are forced to record a Christmas single together, but neither of them have plans to spend any more time with each other than they absolutely have to. With Christmas traditions that couldn’t be more different and outlooks on life that are worlds apart, the chemistry just shouldn’t work. But the magic of Christmas can bring even opposites together....

From the snowy beauty of London at Christmas, to the candlelit magic of Javi’s traditional family celebrations, let Leonie Mack whisk you away on a memorable festive adventure. Perfect for fans of Trisha Ashley, Mandy Baggot and Holly Martin.

Wonderful story & narration

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this but I just love a good Christmas themed book so gave it a try. This book wasn’t what I expected but I ended up loving it. So beautifully written and the characters are flawed and real but not tragic. I end up cheering for them and hoping they could work through their pain and accept love. It was a wonderful listen & the narration was fantastic.

Thoroughly recommend!

An endearing, thrilling and energetic debut tale from Leonie Mack about loss, joy and finding (and keeping?) love.

Mack’s novel takes us through the twinning journeys of Cara and Javi as they navigate love, their relationships with their families and their own explosive musical careers.

Mack’s evocative writing explores both protagonists as they learn to reconcile their pasts with their futures. Their journeys echo one another as they learn about true courage in the face of fear.

Underpinning the lovers’ story is a thread binding fathers and daughters, and the challenge of finding one’s own self as a part of, and apart from, one’s family.

Sander’s narration is evocative, polished and engaging. She captures Mack’s playful and passionate prose perfectly. Her characterisation is nuanced and believable. I have been saying the word “Colombia” with Javi’s accent for three weeks now!

A marvellous debut piece from Leonie Mack. Would nightly recommend.
