I absolutely loved this book and Bills narration was fantastic. It was like listening to a great friend spinning yarns. Being an animal lover myself I really enjoyed hearing his take on all things of the natural world. There was knowledge, laughter and tears. I was so moved by some of his stories it took my breath away. Needless to say I am a great fan! Keep up the wonderful work!

I'm very glad Bill Bailey took the time to read this memoir himself, as it adds a lot to the listen. Not typically laugh out loud funny (still hard to beat Eddie Izzard's autobiography for that) but it is definitely a quirky listen. What shines through is Bill's love of animals. I've been to quite a few of Bill's live shows, and loved every one. I feel that is something to be proud of living in New Zealand, but he's certainly a wanderer and I'm grateful for that. I will betray my age by acknowledging I've multiple DVDs as well. He's certainly an amazing talent. Life in Bill's world must be anything but dull, and that shines through in this book. I learned a lot about animals I didn't really know existed, which was fun, and informative. Highly recommended.
