This is a really good novel for the relationship and character growth of our characters, still some weird scenes but overall really solid

Solid entry albeit a little slow

I’ve never read a novel that actually filled the middle with literal filler. This book was a major tease with a total bait and switch. Feels like the story lost all momentum, no plot progress beyond Rudeus being an absolute creep. Seems like the next book will start moving the plot forward a bit, but this one felt pretty slow. Almost like the author forgot which genre this series is supposed to be.
