The “American “ accent!
Yes, that accent the narrator has inflicted on the American woman character makes it hard to enjoy this reading . I’m speaking of “Cat”, Harry’s wife.
She is supposed to be very beautiful, but with that twang, it’s hard to believe.
Nathaniel Parker is such an accomplished actor, I’m surprised he couldn’t have done better with this character.

This duo does it again
I enjoy reading everything these two write. The husband and wife in this series are charming. She is an impulsive New Yorker who has married a low key Brit who works for the government. Both havet been in the foreign service of their respective nations. Now renovating the dower house of his family estate they keep busy as investigators of local issues. Each new story presents a different problem that maintains our interest from introduction to unexpected conclusion

WELL IN THEIR STRIDE FOR ANOTHER MYSTERY
Richards & Costello have now settled into a good rhythm and Book 4 is proof. Harry and Cat/Kat are now well defined characters for whom we are rooting from the start. Usual stalwarts Aunt Lavinia and the Alvis make appearances, and the Sussex countryside is starting to become a character in itself. We have still not come across anything at which Cat/Kat is not accomplished. Would be lovely if Harry could rescue her...just once. Now waiting for Book 5.
