A brilliant story that will claim UR heart & soul

Ms Lead is Book 3 in the Drive Me Wild Series by Amy Booker and wow: This review is totally a love letter: Dear Amy, Shane, and Lacey you absolutely tore my heart up, squeezed it and then by the end you piece it all back together but there’s one piece that forever belongs to you.

When I talk about books that gut you, this is one to add to the list.
It’s so beautiful, and it will torture you a little but the story is so hopeful and you feel that from the first line the first page of the first chapter.
This is a new to me author and co-star and oh this is going to tug your heart-strings and Shane East has done it again and blown me away with raw emotion.

This is a beautifully written, heart-melting love-at -first-sight grumpy sunshine Las Vegas romance that had me all up in the feels and fully swooning from beginning to end.

I love it when authors give us playlists: I’m all about it and crave it - when there isn’t one, I’m the type of reader that will associate a song with a book and I love Amy for giving us that in her books - and she goes one further and names each chapter after a song which is brilliant: love that and it’s something that sets this book and series apart from any others I’ve read.

I also loved that Amy is all about the banter and it’s peppered through-out and I live for it….I squeeeed so hard when there was a mention of Australian Rules Football, and laughed so hard during the pub scene when Oliver’s best friend Darcie orders a Negroni Sbagliato, 'with Prosecco in it' which was a call-out to that wacky trend: it was hilarious.

Oliver and Bianca’s romance was scorching hot and had me wanting to press pause and never leave this gloriously beautiful story.

To say I devoured this book is an understatement, I was hooked and I wanted to wrap my arms around Oliver from the very first page and never let him go…the burden he carried, touched my heart. Bianca is a force to be reckoned with: she wears her heart on her sleeve which can be a double-edged sword.

From the moment Oliver and Bianca locked eyes at the airport, it was electrifying, and a roller coaster: Oliver is harbouring a secret that he doesn’t want to burden his nearest and dearest and that includes Bianca. He runs hot and cold which only confuses and frustrates Bianca who is open and honest about her feelings for Oliver. But try as he might, Oliver is unable to resist the attraction and deep connection he feels towards Bianca who confronts him and triggers an explosive confession from Oliver. You would think things are smooth sailing from then on, but you would be wrong: they live oceans apart and have only a few weeks together before Oliver has to go back to the UK. They face some twists and turns on their way to HEA.

Lacy Laurel and Shane East narrate this audiobook and boy did they bring the emotion, angst and heat to Bianca and Oliver’s sizzling chemistry. Lacy portrayed Bianca’s passionate, forthright, and strong-willed determination perfectly.

Shane’s performance of Oliver was an absolute standout as the broody/grumpy, tortured writer, who kept trying to suppress his feelings, thinking that he was not worthy and didn’t want to burden Bianca.
Once he was able to deal with his fears, and get out of his own way and admit his love for Bianca, he had me swoon so hard and I was cheering him on.

This a beautifully written, heart-melting love-at -first-sight grumpy sunshine Las Vegas romance that had me all up in the feels and fully swooning from beginning to end. Oliver and Bianca’s romance was incendiary and full of angst, learning to share your burdens, following your heart because love truly does conquer all, a love so strong and electrifying that only strengthens as time passes.

To say that I am beyond obsessed with this beautiful story is an understatement. Shane East absolutely slays this performance and my heart. Shane’s phenomenal performance had me in tears at many points throughout the book, but Amy stitches it back together: the emotion in this story is absolute perfection as is his performance.

I'm excited to dive in and read/listen the other books, but especially book 4: Ms Make with my favourite #AudioQueen Samantha Brentmoor and a new to me VO Actor: Alastair Haynesbridge. I'm excited for all things Amy Booker and as per usual, I've discovered another amazing author through #TheManTheVoiceTheLegend Shane East whom I will be forever grateful.

If you love a swoon-worthy found soulmates romance with a broody grumpy British Author Hero with a penchant for hot-headed Italian sunshine heroines, in a Las Vegas setting, then you will love Ms Lead. A brilliant story that will take up residence in your heart, written by a genius author, performed by remarkably talented actors: All the stars!!
