Brought to you by Penguin.

Bad luck has always followed Olivia. But when a steamy text from a random number turns into the most entertaining relationship of her life, it seems things are looking up....

Colin has always considered Olivia his flatmate's annoying little sister. Until she moves in with them, and he realises she's turned into an altogether sexier distraction....

He's determined to keep his distance, but it isn't easy. Especially when he discovers she's the girl he's been secretly messaging.

Now, Mr Wrong Number must make a decision. Should he shut down the messages, before things get messy?

Or turn up the heat?

I will listen to Callie Dalton read the phonebook.

Loved it. A simple, sweet, sexy, story and loved the narrations. Nothing unexpected but enjoyable.

So good!

I wasn't sure about this book when I started as the narrator put me off a bit but then grew to learn she was the perfect narrative for Olivia. Absolutely loved Olivia as a character, she had me laughing out loud a several points in this book. Loved the silly carefree side of her and her fun loving outlook on life. And Colin, OMG. There were some wonderful spicy parts to this story which I thoroughly enjoyed. An easy listen which I couldn't put down, definitely recommend. Off to find more Lynn Painter with spice ;)

Recommend for light romcom

I did like it, and I do recommend listening to it. The narration was great as well!
If you want a quick, easy romcom, this is nice.
Below, I do have some criticism, but they are just my own opinions and thoughts. I do like this book and still recommend it, but there are parts I could have done without and parts I found frustrating. I do believe this is still a great read and to judge it for yourself.

Ok, the main character becomes pretty annoying and actually does become a bit of a psycho. I don't believe she deserved him in the end. Yes, he messed up, but she disregarded his feelings at every turn and treated him poorly. I understand his side and why he was afraid to tell her. I have sympathy for him for having to deal with her. He deserved better, definitely.
1. She didn't deserve to know he was leaving after being horrible to him. She was just awful and so entitled.
2. Drinking someone else's alcohol without asking is horrible. Everyone has phones google to see what brand it is and if it's expensive. Again, that alcohol was for a special occasion, it doesn't take much to send a text asking permission, or she could have asked her brother as he would have known.
3. Inviting kids to the house without consent from her roomate and or brother is just inconsiderate as they did spend good money for the furniture and she just thought that because he had money it was ok and judged him soo much because of it. It was like hey this person has money, let's treat their belongings like crap, eat, and drink their food and jump on their furniture. Also sleeping in his bed how creepy can you be? If roles were reversed there would definitely be issues its so double standard. Like how arrogant and selfish can you be?
4. Constantly messaging a guy once you've been ghosted is kind of desperate. A lot of people would have let it to and just shrugged it off she used it like a personal vendetta.
5. Lying about the job, I do understand to an extent, but blaming before looking into it and then finding out who did it after is like rookie mistake 101. It's in way too many books and movies like, really? I found a lot of her outbursts not relatable at all, and she just acted like a child a lot.
Again, these are my thoughts. I still recommend this book.

Beautifully written.

Wonderfully written story, great characters and the way that the two characters are intertwined is perfectly done!

Fun & Easy Listen

I actually enjoyed this one (as someone who listens to a lot of romantic tropes as an easy way to mentally switch off). The story and characters were cute and it had the right amount of suspense and chemistry without being emotionally frustrating or overwhelming. Nice easy listen ❤️

Potential

Started off great. Fell flat really quickly. I started getting bored around chapter 12 and forced myself to keep listening. It’s just bland and characters have zero chemistry.

loved it!

witty laugh out loud fun. the FMC is hilarious and lovable in all her chaos, and the banter between her and the MMC is fantastic. I listened to this in 3.5 days between work, children, and home life duties. calling Dalton is the queen of Audible, in my opinion. I will give almost anything she reads a go, and this didn't disappoint. I only wish there was a more detailed epilogue or a second one further along in their story, and, I wished the was a part where the MMC stood up for the FMC with her family most of them treat her pretty crapily and I wish he had pointed out their bad behaviour and they was some resolution with them.

Started off alright but became a bit boring

I forced myself to finish it, but I wasn’t interested or invested. The main character isn’t relatable.
