Publisher's Summary

A haunted house becomes the focus of a demonic investigation, so Brenda teams up with a trio of werewolves to solve the mystery. But when the house eats her, can they find a way to save her?

I met a trio of furballs when my BFF was dealing with a demon issue and since then, I can't stop thinking about them.

When the chance to investigate a possessed house appears on my desk - after I filch it from someone else's - I know it's fate we team up again.

However, I might have bitten off more than I can chew, because suddenly my hunky puppies are demanding I become their permanent chew toy.

Me, mated? Eek, but also yum. Did I mention they totally make my body purr?

Before we can indulge in a sweatily-ever-after, though, they'll need to save me from Mr. Peabody's house, because I do believe it ate me.

Contains mature themes.

Loved it!

This was a very well written story. Brenda 's character was a hoot and just plain amazing. This series stays true to the theme of strong, capable female leads. The men are just plain sexy alphas! The storyline is fast paced and detailed! Nothing is lacking here!

Young girl find adventure, sex & paranormal lovers

Sharp , funny and well written story about a young female looking for lust/love. A paranormal mystery causes the lead female to find herself in a pickle. The story has a wonderful mixture of paranormal characters. Witches, demons, vampires, werewolves, human, interacting. All the humans characters are anglo but the paranormal characters are richly diverse with their own prejudices and hierarchy of importance in the pecking order in the paranormal realm. This book is one of a series with similar structure of storyline. The entire series is entertaining with a mild kick of sexual spice. Worth the money or credit.. flip a coin. Entertaining quirky paranormal stories can ALWAYS be found in all Eve Langlais stories. The man characters are consistently similar with the exception of a change of hair color (in the young female lead) Chosen voice actors used, are always excellent fix..Finally with an EVE LANGLAIS story, you will get witty writing and happy endings guaranteed.

idiotic

I got through the first book and enjoyed the world building enough to ignore a s***-shaming insecure and very immature h. since this book is included in the escape package, I tried volume two. if possible, this isn't even more obnoxious and immature female protagonist. The world building is interesting and fun, but the characters are Randy 13 year olds at best. there is no charm to the women and even the sex scenes are pretty boring. this series is a hard pass.

Could’ve been better

I have a hard time with the leading ladies being portrayed as stupid! I wanted to throw my phone a few times because it was so bad! I liked the ending but getting to there took patience 😑

Annoying story, production fine

DNF. I couldn’t stand the main character. Or the word va-jay-jay which was used every two minutes. Other than that, it was probably fine. I just couldn’t take it.

Intolerable Female Protagonist

Wow the female lead Brenda, who was the best friend of the female lead of the last book Indecent Werewolf Exposure, is irremediably annoying. Besides her incessant use of the word "vah-jay-jay" to refer to her genitals and the word "p*ssy" to refer to one of the three werewolf guys when they won't immediately tag team her is her constant desire to run into danger and be problematic. Her friend Chloe from book one literally explains that Brenda is annoying and too much to handle so having her date three men is better because one on one she is intolerable and states that should she ever have to be stuck alone with her friend for a period of time she would just shoot herself. There was fewer sex scenes than in volume one but they involve more sexual acts such as double penetration and a foursome instead of a threesome. Perhaps in volume 3 of this series it will be one gal and four guys. But the behavior of this character was beyond obnoxious and at times I was happy when she was bound and gagged wishing she could be left that way for the rest of the story. Which was a bummer as I surprisingly am actually continuing to be interested in the underlying story that is moving through. It's actually interesting and intriguing and found myself increasingly annoyed with the childish antics of Brenda, and beyond confused as to why these men found her interesting. And also don't like the whole well that's just who she is approach where there is zero self-insight, no accountability for her extreme behavior, and a tendency to not understand why people keep leaving. I will continue the series because they are all available to borrow through Audible Escape, I am interested in how the story progresses, and I know Brenda won't be in it. Again if girls playing stupid and needing to be the center of attention is your kind of comedy this is right up your alley, but for those of you whose fun is ruined by obnoxious heroines you will likely want to look elsewhere.

Meh!

I liked the first book in this series, but this second book, sucks. The main character is made out to be a stupid girl. I hate stupid girls. And mean. Really not happy with this book.

Horrible Narration

I hated the way the narrator spoke, but it's not all her fault. I usually love Eve Langlais, but I couldn't stand the main character. I had hoped she would get better, but I couldn't stand to anymore after Chapter 8. I just couldn't stand to hear the word va-jayjay again!

So-So story, but God awful Narrator

Eve Langlais can generally deliver a decent enough story, and while they range from being excellent (such as Delicate Freakn' Flower) to alright (Bunny and the Bear), this one might have actually passed as falling into the latter if I hadn't made the decision to listen to this, rather than just read. The narrator's choice of voices irritated me, especially since the only one that sounded any different from any of the others was for the main character (Brenda), as all the male characters just blended into each other, and the one other female character had no character to her voice, and didn't actually keep to any kind of accent. It became a slog, as I gave up trying to distinguish who was speaking when, and though Brenda was extremely sassy, and was therefore an interesting character, the rest of the story just fell flat. I will give the rest of the books in this series a miss, which is a pity as Eve Langlais can usually write a good enough story that keeps me coming back.
