About this listen

Getting pregnant then realizing your baby daddy is a cheating, lying, scumbag? That happened.

But then Abel James walks into my life. One hot look from the broad-shouldered cowboy and I’m ready for all the sexy fun I won’t be having once I start showing.

Only one problem. He’s my father’s best friend and almost twenty years older than me.

He’s off limits. I’m completely forbidden. Even if the spark between us is undeniable.

So I get on a plane to Australia. One last trip to visit friends and work on their cattle station before I come home and face my future as a single mom.

But when I get on the plane, Abel is sitting next to me, running away for reasons of his own.

So now we have three months. Three months of sharing a bathroom. Three months of seeing each other every day while trying to pretend there’s nothing between us but friendship.

Three months of falling in love with him, while keeping the biggest secret of my life.

Mother Bucker is a forced-proximity, father’s best friend, age gap romance. It has all the small-town cowboy vibes you love, with all the spice and a happily ever after. It can be listened to as a standalone.

Okay, Elle… you got me. I don’t tear up often, but this one had me sniffing more than once. The emotion in this book hit hard, and the love story was genuinely beautiful.

Abel, sigh. Every woman needs an Abel. The age‑gap romance was handled so well, and he’s the kind of man who quietly steals your heart. Kelly was just as wonderful, strong in ways she doesn’t even realise, and so easy to root for.

This is Elle fully embracing her soft side, and she did an amazing job with it. And the narration was excellent again, both Stella Hunter and JF Harding nailed the Australian accent work, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the story.

A heartfelt, emotional finale to the Buck Cowboys series. Even though I personally prefer Elle’s darker Saint View world, this book wrapped things up beautifully and delivered all the feels, loved it.

The female narrator totally botched this audio, Her Australian accent is tragic. Quite clearly has no idea has never heard an Australian speak along with mispronounced words made this book a arduous listen often detracting from the story.
