I’ve read and listened to these books multiple times as Jay McLean is a favourite author of mine, but this narration was a bit hard to listen to. In fact, I’ve listened to audio books for a dozen years, and this one has stuck out. The masculine narrating voice was a good choice for Logan, but when they would speak feminine vocal lines it felt very disingenuous and almost mocking as it wasn’t often a passable femme voice. Unfortunately, this brought down the overall performance to me. It’s hard to write a negative review but I wish someone had commented this prior to me purchasing an audiobook for a novel I own already!
