Publisher's Summary

Make sure the kids aren’t around! Just because you’re a grown-up doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the art of the children’s bedtime story. Nick Offerman presents this collection of 15 short stories written in the style of a classic kid’s tale, but with a decidedly dark and adult approach.

What really happened after Snow White died, from the perspective of the one medically trained dwarf? A naive wizard professor reports back from the trenches of an underprivileged school of magic. A middle age man is haunted by the voices of his own aging body.

The stories will make you laugh, cry and probably squirm a little. All performed by actors like Patrick Stewart, Alia Shawkat, Ellen Page, Mike Birbiglia, and many more.

Weird and Wonderful

Loved this series, Nick Offerman is incredible as expected although I would have loved to hear more from him. I particularly loved Alia Shawkat, Aparna Nancherla and Rachel Dratch's stories. Great little snippets to listen to on the morning commute which will make you chuckle.

Glad I got it free!

Francine the Frog story was ok, but the second story was terrible. Haven't listened to the rest.

Not cynical enough

Not sure if this was supposed to be funny or not. Was it supposed to be funny because it was so bad? Maybe I have a different sense of humour and comedy is subjective, but it wasnt even very silly

couldn't enjoy it at all. What's this is all about

Spectacular waste of time. Some morbid mamblings... I've listened several parts of it hoping it will get better. but it left me disappointed.

Don't get the point of these stories

not scary, not funny, just random stories that lead no where. I expected a twist at the very least. I'm going back to listening to Stephen Fry.

Some stories I really enjoyed

Some of the stories are really good and cleverly play on real life. Good performances in general and I love Nick Offerman.

Sorry not my type of thing at all.

Especially the one with the oesophagus cancer in. my brother died of that & he had a very good diet. This issue upset me to be honest. Won't be listening to the rest of them.

Not inventive or interesting.

I expected more in all honesty. Wasnt offended or anything but there also seemed to be no point or even an interesting or imaginative portrayal of the bedtime stories. That said the narration is pretty good and the intros are more amusing than the stories themselves. It was average and i doubt I will even attempt finishing all the stories. A few giggles here and there but not more than that. There are plenty of better things to spend any time on. Perhaps if you have nothing left to do and Internet...
