Als Pilch gerade richtig in Fahrt ist, klopft es an der Tür, der Präsident hört mitten im Satz auf, Kottan ruft: ››Herein!‹‹ Ein Briefträger kommt ins Büro des Polizeipräsidenten, stolpert über die Teppichkante, fällt hin und verliert dabei die Mappe mit den eingeschriebenen Briefen.
