If you follow my reviews, you already know I have a current obsession with Corvin King. So when I finished Bad Bishop by L.J. Shen on Audible and saw Corvin narrated this one, and it was a measly 3-hour listen, you can bet your ass I purchased it so fast my card was smoking.
This is a 134-page novella and a 3-hour audiobook, and for what it was? I rated it 4 stars. I went in blind like I always do, and the first half had me bursting out laughing because it was absolutely not what I expected… in the best way.
Also: this was my first listen with Vivienne Larue (our FMC), and wow. She really brought her to life. The performance made everything feel sharper: the humour, the attitude, the tension, and the moments where the story suddenly punches you in the chest.
Honestly? Don’t overthink it. Go in blind. Have a laugh. Enjoy the spice. Feel the emotion.
For how short it is, it delivered. And if you disagree… well… did you actually read or listen hmmmm? 😌
