The Hounds of God have been disbanded by the Catholic Church, leaving a terrible void in the fight to save humankind. As a result, a much older organization returns to power and takes up the reins to fight to save the Earth from the evil that stalks it.

Stationmaster Rex Bastian is a grizzly bear shifter and a Warden of Terra. Running the Virginia Station for the Wardens of Terra has been his ultimate dream since he’d been recruited as an orphaned cub off the streets of Washington DC. He now has everything he ever dreamed of. Power and position. Everything except the one thing he never wanted: a mate.

When all the Wardens under his care are away with other assignments, Rex finds himself designated to attend the annual Council of Shifters Halloween Ball. The problem is he doesn’t have a date or a costume. A trip to Hazel's Halloween Happenings proves to have everything the bear shifter could ever hope for!
