Great story, brought to life by Humphey Bower. I wouldn't normally listen to fantasy fiction by if Bower is the reader I'd listen to him read the phonebook! Beyond his reading, the story is well written with some great characters. I went on to read books 2 and 3 in the trilogy.

performance was very good but the story was a little slow. still managed to capture the vivid and interesting world of Half Continent.

An enjoyable introduction into a new fantasy world. With the scope of J R R Tolkien, the charm of C S Lewis, and the adventure of Robert Louis Stevenson.

Excellently narrated by Humphrey Bower, whose range of voices enhances the characters and turns them into people you will never forget.

A story that strolls at leisurely pace, but leaves you eager to continue listening at the end of a chapter.
