Publisher's Summary

She’s the one woman he’s always wanted and the one woman he’ll never let himself have, but former Delta Force soldier Axel will risk everything to save his covert team’s beautiful archeologist.

Former Delta Force soldier Axel Diaz knows that fighting the bad guys requires getting down in the muck. He’s done too much and seen too much to ever inflict his nightmares on a woman. Especially a gorgeous, smart archaeologist who ignites his blood like no one else.

Axel focuses on his work with the covert Black Ops Team 52. He’ll work alongside Dr. Natalie Blackwell as they safeguard pieces of ancient technology, but he’ll never let himself touch her. Then, everything changes when Nat calls for help. Her archaeology conference in Greece has gone horribly wrong.

Dr. Natalie Blackwell loves her work with Team 52. A lonely childhood and an indifferent family have taught her to be independent. She’s been attracted to Axel for a long time, but refuses to be another notch on his very notched bedpost. But when she finds herself in terrible danger, being hunted by something terrifying, all she wants around her are Axel’s muscled arms. She is in the fight for her life, and she’s praying her team - and the man she can’t resist - can find her in time.

Axle and Nat's Story

I didn't realize how talented a narrator this is until I ventured into a few that just don't cut it. Wonderful job! This book is so good! I love the payoff of finally seeing these two deal with their feelings (as it has been a long time coming). In depth characters, drama and tension, bad guys in balaclavas, and advanced ancient technology that needs to be dealt with and safeguarded. oh, and an HEA! No cliffhangers for Anna. This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

BOOK REVIEW....... I loved this couple. They were smoking hot. I totally wish there was a second book with more of their story. I recommend this author and all her books!!! NARRATOR REVIEW...... The narrator did a good job with the voices of each character.

Totally fabulous!

Fast paced, well voiced, and full of action, romance, and bits of history, this story delivers in a big way! I loved every moment and know this will be on my relisten list often.

It was ok

Have read the series up to this one. You get hooked into wanting to know what happens to the characters and I really enjoy action mixed with the romance. This one was too alpha male/pathetic female for me personally. I found it too cheesy by the end having spent the last half of the book saying the dialogue along with Stella because it was so obvious what was coming. I didn’t notice that in the previous books. Maybe I’m all ‘hackett’d’ out so I’m not tempted to get the next one when it comes out
