Publisher's Summary

When archaeologist January’s plane is shot down over the Guatemalan jungle, she knows she’s being hunted for the invaluable Mayan artifacts she’s carrying. Only one man and his team can save her…the covert, black ops Team 52, and the distrusting former CIA operative who drives her crazy…

Dr. January James has a motto: live life to the fullest. A terrible incident in her past, where she lost both her mother and her innocence, taught her that. Now she spends her days on archeological digs doing the work she loves. When her team uncovers a pair of dangerous artifacts in an overgrown temple, she knows they need to be secured and safeguarded. But someone else knows about the artifacts…and will kill to get them.

Working for the CIA, Seth Lynch learned the hard way that people lie and will always stab you in the back. He has the scars to prove it. He lives for his work with Team 52 - ensuring pieces of powerful ancient technology don’t fall into the wrong hands. When he learns that the feisty, independent archeologist who works his last nerve has died in a plane crash, he makes it his mission to discover who the hell is responsible.

Deep in the jungle, Seth rescues a very-much alive January and it is up to him to keep both her and the artifacts safe. Hunted from every side, their attraction is explosive and fiery, but with January’s life on the line, Seth must fight his own demons in order to rescue the woman he can no longer resist.

Includes a preview of Undiscovered (Treasure Hunter Security series, book 1).

action all round

love Ms Hackett's writing, she does an awesome job with action, pace, alphas, sass, steam and friendship. Stella is one of the better narrator's. I'm an Aussie and listening to her working her best at the accent was acceptable but still needing some fine tuning. nevertheless I love her tone and inflections.

If you enjoyed Treasure Hunter Security...

Another great narration from Stella Bloom. Book 2 in the Team 52 series takes the reader to the jungles of Guatemala and back in an action packed tale of mystery and romance with some history thrown in. January and Seth are a fun to read about, neither one inclined to back down and always ready to sass back. As with Ms. Hackett's Treasure Hunter Security series, it's fun to check out the history behind the story. Great series! Enjoy!

undeniable

January and Seth make up the main characters in the second book of the Team 52 series. Lots of chemistry, tension, wonderful writing, and time well spent! Oh, and the preview of Undiscovered, book one of Treasure Hunter Security...so good! If you haven't read that series yet, seriously. ..get on it.

Such a fun action packed romance book !

What another absolute delightful witty and creative book by Anna Hackett. I first 'read' this book through Audiobook and the experience is definitely heightened with Stella Bloom's narration and how she's brought Anna's character's to life. So much fun and excellent characters and dialogue. Can't wait to listen to Team52 #3 Mission Her Security!

Looking forward to more of this series!

Anna Hackett has the amazing talent of creating fearless, if not sometimes reckless, beautiful, intelligent women who aren’t afraid to take chances and January is no exception! Seth is jaded by unfortunate past events, but still protective, strong, willing to sacrifice himself for the good of others and admits when he’s wrong!! Together they are unstoppable and sickeningly cute! When January comes into unforeseen harm Seth realizes that the snarky banter between the two of them is because he cares for her! Thank goodness the two of them figure it out and obtain their HEA!! Stella Bloom performs an awesome narration as usual!

January and Seth

We know from book 1 that there’s some history between archeologist January James and Team 52 member Seth. It’s fun watching this duo admit that their feelings are more than hatred. Will January survive the attempts of eco terrorists who want to get their hands on her latest discovery? Good story.

Love it

Love the story and love the narrator. Super fast listen. Stella Bloom does an awesome job on each of the characters voices so there was no confusing parts about who was talking.

Great!!

These books aren’t going to change your life but they are really solid adventure romances. Anna Hackett never seems to disappoint me. I love these and will continue to the next in the series.

A disappointment

I really liked the first one of this series (Mission: Her Protection), but this one was a disappointment. The relationship between Seth and January was based only on sex. Not believable for a real romance. And, I really didn't like January, who was a bit of a bitch (she was supposed to be "feisty"). The romantic conflict - Seth totally throwing January under the bus, trustwise - January just shrugged her shoulders, oh, that's ok.... No it wasn't. But she just said give her orgasms and breakfast and everything fine. In fact, I'm writing this review while "listening" to the book, so you can see it doesn't really hold my attention.

Thoroughly enjoyable

The characters, storyline and the narration make for a very enjoyable 6+ hours, if like me, you like to have reality suspended with a smile, the occasional 'oh no' moment and a HEA

Interesting plot ideas, good characters

Interesting ideas with a twist on Area52 and conspiracy theorists. The conspiracy being the strange artifacts are ancient and not new. Like the characters, the interactions and teasing banter. Good team dynamics. Some good steamy scenes too though I'm loving the suspense more xx

Raiders of the Lost Cliche

Dramatic cliche ridden tale of jungle rescue. Not deliberately amusing, but funny for the cliched story and characterizations; probably the reason action-dramas are so popular. Hero calls female "James"... and the story may have improved if characters were of same sex - the image of two tattooed fatigue wearing bodies cavorting through a sweaty jungle rescuing each other is too cute. Did not like that the last 9 mins were devoted to Book 3 and leaving a cliffhanger. Will not read another of this series. Narration was excellent.
