Publisher's Summary

From Mark Greaney, The New York Times best-selling author of Gunmetal Gray and a coauthor of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan novels, comes a high-stakes thriller featuring the world's most dangerous assassin: the Gray Man.

Court Gentry's flight on a CIA transport plane is interrupted when a security team brings a hooded man aboard. They want to kick Gentry off the flight but are overruled by CIA headquarters. The mystery man is being transported to England where a joint CIA/MI6 team will interrogate him about a mole in Langley.

When they land in an isolated airbase in the UK, they are attacked by a hostile force who kidnaps the prisoner. Only Gentry escapes. His handlers send him after the attackers, but what can one operative do against a trained team of assassins? A lot, when that operative is the Gray Man.

Another great story in the Gray Man series.

The only disappointment is this is the last book in the Gray Man series (currently).
Mission Critical is another awesome read in the Gray Man series with another intriguing masterful plot, crammed full with non-stop action.
The narration again was superb by Jay Snyder. He is the number 1 narrator on Audible hands down.
Here's hoping Mark Greany continues to write more books in this series and they make a number of movies about the series as well.

The Joy of Google

The need of American authors to be in another country is done by using Google. This comes out in the narrative and easily recognised by a native. It might be good for agents to be kinder to their clients that the work they do is sold in those very countries that they write about. The other thing is getting the narrator to pronounce’Aussie” correctly lol as in Ozzie. I admire the brave attempt at the different accents. Not to mock but it does make for extra entertainment and I like books that do that

Great storyline

Terrible accents! Anything other than American is hilarious.
But a great storyline and a real page turner.

Lots of fun, hard to put down

Lots of fun and excitement. Plenty of action and a great and involved plot. Hard to put down.
The 'good guys' are relatable, likeable, well formed and easy to root for. The 'bad guys', well we want them to get their just desserts.
There are some pretty standard and familiar tropes well explored in many other books but they are done very well in this book and much better than most.
If I had the opportunity to provide some constructive (but minor) feedback to the author, I'd suggest getting someone from the subject country (in this case UK) to provide some advice and review some of the cultural norms, language and characteristics of the places and characters from the country. They tend to be a little too American stereotypes - how Americans think the English speak and act. Forgivable because of the nature and style of the books but they can be a bit grating and it creates a bit of a disconnect for readers familiar with the countries and their cultures.
While the narrator is good, sometimes the non-American accents are difficult to hear but again can be forgiven.
I've listened and read all eight books back to back so far and suspect I will continue to do it.

It just keeps getting better and better

Spy thrillers don't get any better than The Grey Man series and Mark Greaneys latest book, read perfectly by Jay Snyder, leads this genre with world class writing and non stop believable action.

Another Great Grey Man

I haven’t listened to a bad Gray Man, normally novels of this genre have to much that’s simply not believable. The Gray Man is 90% Jason Bourne with a splash of James Bond with a character that Scarecrow meets Jack West Jnr. This is a great storyline and one of the best.
