Heads always turned when Rose McCarthy walked into a room. Nearly six feet tall, she was ramrod straight, and impeccably put together with faultless style, long graceful legs, her snow-white hair cut in a chin-length rounded cap. Her piercing blue eyes missed nothing. She could terrify anyone with a few well-chosen, soft-spoken, eloquent words, or comfort and delight a young employee with generous praise. For 25 years, she had been the legendary editor in chief of Mode magazine.

Very outstanding novel about twins
Where does Mirror Image rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book was so good, there were sad parts, funny parts, then you really got into the story when the twins decided to switch places and trick the husband. It took the son a year to figure out the real twin, but not the husband, even after having a set of twins with her. His wife left him not wanting to have sex, taking care of his son, or just being a wife. So her twin filled in great, but when she got hurt in Europe during the war and the head Nurse sent her Twin the telegram that she was serious ill, of course she took off to see about her and the husband complained, so he went along. So they had to tell him the truth of the switch
which totally upset him. And then she had to tell her sister she also had a son too, that really put a lid on the jar. They had to get back to the states caring each other and an infant, what a trick with shooting all around and getting to a ship; but they made it home. Safe and sound back to NY with their twins and son & housekeeper waiting. This would make an interesting MOVIE!
What does John Fleming bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The life, excitement, sadness,admosphere
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
A little bit of both.
Any additional comments?
John Fleming puts a lot of life in his narration
