Publisher's Summary

Nalini Singh pulls away another dark layer of sheer desire, revealing passions unknown, in her latest audiobook about the world of the Psy.

A ghost returns from a leopard changeling's past, making him question everything - even his base animal instincts....

Clay Bennett is a powerful DarkRiver sentinel, but he grew up in the slums with his human mother, never knowing his changeling father.

As a young boy without the bonds of Pack, he tried to stifle his animal nature. He failed...and committed the most extreme act of violence, killing a man and losing his best friend, Talin, in the bloody aftermath. Everything good in him died the day he was told that she, too, was dead.

Talin McKade barely survived a childhood drenched in bloodshed and terror. Now a new nightmare is stalking her life - the street children she works to protect are disappearing and turning up dead. Determined to keep them safe, she unlocks the darkest secret in her heart and steels herself to ask the help of the strongest man she knows....

Clay lost Talin once. He will not let her go again. His hunger to possess her is a clawing need born of the leopard within. As they race to save the innocent, Clay and Talin must face the violent truths of their past or risk losing everything that ever mattered to them.

Great series, wrong narrator

So, have reread this series so many times. This isn’t my fav book of the set, but still good. It’s a great world and characters.

As for AngelaDawe, I’ve heard her in other series and she was good… but she’s just not versatile enough to pull off this series. Too many men, too much variety. Saying that, she’s not terrible in this series… until Clay! OMG! How could she be THAT BAD? Every time Clay speaks, I get stuck in my head trying to figure out if he sounds more like a nasally bookie, or a nasally wannabe gansta… so so terribly bad.

Another goodie

This edition in the psy-changeling series is as good as all the rest. Love the whole series, have the books but enjoy having the audio copy too. Only complaint is that Talin is kind of annoying in her obtuse-ness but is overall amazing

Talin & Clay

have read this book before and Loved it, and love it just as much as an audio book. I have found these books and this Narrator to be fantastic, I can listen to my fav books in the car or on my lunch break.

Great series but this one set my teeth on edge

My only complaint, and the reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5, is the excessive amount of sl*t shaming. Otherwise another great addition to the series.

Really Good

This is the story of Tally a human and Clay a changeling. Thay first met when she was 3 and he was 9 and their's is a tale of ups and downs. When Tally reappears after two decades in which Clay thought she was dead things are turned upside down and it is a rocky road from there on for them. But hopefully true love and mating bond can overcome a lot of obstacles in their way. Really worth the listen.
