Listened for an excruciating 40 minutes (over three days). I really tried to get involved as this was for my bookclub and I normally finish the allocated book but simply could not do a moment longer. Sentences waffled on with no clear direction or purpose. Felt overbearing and pretentious. Not sure where the story was going or why it was being told.

Just couldn't finish it.
