my 1st listening to this author and frustration rose by chapter 7 and boiled over around chapter 14. I was wondering how the author was going to write(talk) this hero down from the arrogant, nasty, self centred pedestal he was portrayed to be standing on. but I kept my annoyance in check and soldiered on, thinking how right the author had done my English rock stars. Shane east was brilliant.
no spoiler alert so you too can read and wonder how it turns out.
I loved the twist and hairpin turns the story took. unfortunately muffy didn't do this reading for me. The heroine was young and muffy sounded a little to sophisticated for way she was portrayed . I wanted to shake her a few times myself!!!!
I've read 2 other rock star novels and this would be my third placing. the author has great colourful, brutal,meaningful words but too deep for me I felt.
I would get caught up with the descriptive writings and want to push to the story line which unravels quite nicely and quickly with the back half of the book.
although I talk of over describing, I think i understand that the author was getting into the mind of the hero and his jaded world and if that's the case then it does explain the raw gritty writing.
