Good story, fabulous narration.
Two things annoyed me - she constantly referred to her ex as ‘himself’ and that got real old quickly. Also, whilst she is only 40, she acts like she is 50+ in peri menopause (she’s not).

I really enjoyed this book. Listened to it on long road trips and had a number of laugh out loud moments. Took a bit to get used to the phrase ‘himself’ which initially annoyed me but once I got into the story it just made me laugh.

if you like this genre this is a fantastic start to the series! the only thing that let it down was referring to her ex as "himself" for the entire thing. it got old and irritating real quick

A story to relate to. I'm not sure when I last belly laughed so much. I just need to remember to not listen to this audio in public...I am very animated in my actions and received lots of looks of "...she's mother ducking crazy..."😆😆😆

very well written and excellently narrated, great humour throughout although the constant reminders about aches and pains became a bit distracting toward the end. I'm very much in favour of mature heroine's bringing life experiences into storytelling, it makes the MC more believable and well rounded.
absolutely loved Lauren's narration, great range of characters and personalities, effortless to listen to her.
totally recommend this if you're looking for a very good, well written urban paranormal story with a well rounded female MC (pun intended).

My only critique is the repeated naming of ‘himself’ for the ex. Maybe I missed some context or something? It became a little jarring.

Hoping the next book does away with this.

It’s definitely not enough to put me off the series but it is something I had to actively work at ignoring.

Overall fantastic- the twists and turns just brilliant! Hoping the next book delves into more magic, Gram and critter chaos 🥰
