Story
'Between the Stops is a sort of a memoir, my sort. It's about a bus trip really, because it's my view from the Number 12 bus (mostly top deck, the seat at the front on the right), a double-decker that plies its way from Dulwich, in South East London, where I was living, to where I sometimes work - at the BBC, in the heart of the capital. It's not a sensible way to write a memoir at all, probably, but it's the way things pop into your head as you travel, so it's my way'.

Story
Well hello to you dear audiobook browser. Now I have your attention it would be rude if I didn't tell you a little about my literary feast. So, here is the thing: is it just me or does anyone else find that adulthood offers no refuge from the unexpected horrors, peculiar lack of physical coordination and sometimes unexplained nudity, that accompanied childhood and adolescence? I am proud to say I have a wealth of awkward experiences - from school days to life as an office temp - and here I offer my 18-year-old self (and I hope you, too, dear listener) some much needed caution and guidance on how to navigate life's rocky path.

Funny, but some inappropriate stuff
We love Michael McIntyre. He's so funny. But there are some sexual references in this audiobook that were not appreciated. Only a couple of bits, but they were quite graphic, & the book was good apart from them.

Pleasant
I cannot say this was hilarious but it was pleasant. He is a gentle comedian, not surreal but overall it was enjoyable.
I tend to like really cutting edge or surreal humour so perhaps that has coloured my review here.

Brilliant Comic
Living in Australia have not seen much of Michael. But will nowfollow him more closely.
Great comedy in the looking at the people around us.
Nice to have a comedian being very funny without resorting to fucking swearing for the shock value.

Not as good as he can be
What did you like best about Michael McIntyre? What did you like least?
I love Michael McIntyre but this was a disappointment. He usually relies solely on wit. This had more swearing in it. His more recent work is better.
