Publisher's Summary

Kevin Harrington, one of the original "sharks" of the TV hit Shark Tank, and serial entrepreneur Mark Timm take you on a journey that radically redefines what it means to truly succeed - at work, at home, and in every area of life.

On one of the best days of his life as an entrepreneur, Mark Timm found himself sitting in his car at the end of his driveway. In just a minute he would go into the house and greet his wife and children. But as he basked in the success he'd just had, he also had to face a surprising realization: He didn't really want to go home.

Mark knew that once he stepped into the happy chaos of his family, the euphoria of the day would evaporate. His work life and his home life might as well have been two different worlds. And at that moment, he acknowledged - as he puts it - that "my businesses were getting my first and my best, while my family got my last and my least".

Mentor to Millions charts Mark's journey from that pivotal moment to a whole new understanding of how work, life, and relationships can coexist and thrive together. His guide through this journey: his accomplished mentor, Kevin Harrington, one of the original "sharks" from Shark Tank, who shares amazing stories and imparts invaluable wisdom about how to win in business and in every area of life.

This deeply personal, easy-to-follow book invites you to join Mark and Kevin on the journey. Every moment pulls back the curtain on entrepreneurship at the highest level, revealing priceless business lessons - which lead to the biggest lesson of all: combining the best of business, family, and personal life. If you're succeeding in business, struggling, or just starting out and want your life at home to be what you've always dreamed it can be, this is the lesson you need to learn: The most valuable business you'll ever own, work for, or be a part of isn't the business you go to every day, it's the one you go home to.

Listen at 1.4x

Good stories for those of us in the business of starting and growing businesses. I never listen to audiobooks at a faster speed and get annoyed with podcasts where they are all speaking fast. However you can speed this book up to 1.3 or 1.4x and it still sound natural.

It was okay.

I heard Mark talk about this book on a podcast and downloaded it that night. I was so excited. It sure talked a lot about Kevin and Zig and their roles as mentors. Most of the content, for me was very familiar. For someone new to this content it could be a big break through. To me, the book sounded more like a really long tribute with some good stories and examples of what was learned in different situations. listening to the audio book was really hard because it does not say that it is quoting Kevin and so Mark is talking about something and then it goes into Kevin's story but I would not know that until that story was over and Mark would share what he learned from Kevin. overall, it has good concepts, good examples of mentoring and good insights, but I was not able to really get into the book. I was turned off by everything being about making money and not enough about building mentorships. Thanks for the ride.

"Most valuable business ever is the one at home"

I loved this book - so much that I'm rereading it right now! I'm very much aligned with the principles in it. Kevin also says something like "everybody must win" or the deal can't go forward...to me that's the opposite of "dog eat dog" in business. I've always cared more about impact rather than profit (not that profit cannot help drive impact!) To know you can have both - and at the same time - is so inspiring. Thanks for the wisdom, the impact you both are having on the world, and for your integrity. Sandi

Loved the book! Thank you so much Kevin & Mark~Stay out of red shark infested waters, sail in the blue water where you can scale. Become a phoenix, let your failures become the ashes on which you rise & work with family when possible, so everyone can rise together. I'm going to read it again. Much love & light, Marta <3

Work-life balance re-imagined

Have you ever wondered why Kevin Harrington, one of the original sharks on Shark Tank left that show? Find out inside. Have you ever wondered how Kevin Harrington became a serial entrepreneur and coined the phrase, "But wait, there's more"? His incredible story is inside too. This book gives you the opportunity to pick the brain of an entrepreneurial legend and learning the "secrets" of his success. Those secrets might just help you take action and launch you to your success. But wait, there's more. You might not know Mark Timm yet but after this book you will. His journey will possibly inspire you to the next level of your success in merging your business and family life, which really is the ultimate measure of success isn't it. His journey will stand what you thought you knew about "work-life balance" on its head and the epilogue is, well, it is epic. The audio version had some repeats in a couple of places unless my audible player was malfunctioning and that is why I rated the performance a little lower. It has nothing to do with the content or the narration itself, just a few hiccups. Get this one today. You will be glad you did.
