America's failure to acknowledge this trauma, let alone root it out, has allowed it to metastasise. Whether it manifests itself in rising levels of rage and hatred, or hopelessness and apathy, the stress of living in a country many no longer recognize has affected everyone. America is suffering from PTSD - a new leader alone cannot fix it.

As a boring a subject as I had assumed

Publisher's Summary
What Melania wants, Melania gets.
The former director of special events at Vogue and producer of nine legendary Met Galas, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff met Melania Knauss in 2003 and had a front row seat to the transformation of Donald Trump’s then girlfriend from a rough-cut gem to a precious diamond. As their friendship deepened over lunches at Manhattan hot spots, black-tie parties and giggle sessions in the penthouse at Trump Tower, Wolkoff watched the newest Mrs Trump raise her son, Barron, and manage her highly scrutinised marriage.
After Trump won the 2016 election, Wolkoff was recruited to help produce the 58th Presidential Inauguration and to become the First Lady’s trusted adviser. Melania put Wolkoff in charge of hiring her staff, organising her events, helping her write speeches and creating her debut initiatives. Then it all fell apart when she was made the scapegoat for inauguration finance irregularities. Melania could have defended her innocent friend and confidant, but she stood by her man. The betrayal nearly destroyed Wolkoff.
In this candid and emotional memoir, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff takes you into Trump Tower and the White House to tell the funny, thrilling and heartbreaking story of her intimate friendship with one of the most famous women in the world, a woman few people truly understand. How did Melania react to the Access Hollywood tape and her husband’s affair with Stormy Daniels? Does she get along well with Ivanka? Why did she wear that jacket with 'I really don’t care, do u?' printed on the back? Is Melania happy being First Lady? And what really happened with the inauguration’s funding of $107 million? Wolkoff has some ideas....

Kudos to Stephanie
Stephanie's book demonstrates the Trump family/POTUS is corrupt! Obviously Melania is another Narcissist in the Trump Family. Stephanie was a pawn and sucked into their propaganda and cult, to cover up their continuing corruption and has been traumatised psychologically.
The recent books written : Michael Cohen , Mary Trump, Michael Bolton, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Michael Schmidt, James Comey, David Enrich, Jacob Soboroff, Glen Simpson, Jim Mattis, The Dangerous Case of Trump. Hoax: Donald Trump/Fox News. etc, etc. Not to mention.....Bob Woodward's tapes of Trumps admission to knowing how dangerous Covid19 was...and his upcoming book RAGE...All common denominators dangerous POTUS...its right in front of our faces! I am no fan of Melania Trump but if this is her world it is very sad
This book is like desperate housewives. The author is a very sad would be if she could be.
The name dropping is beyond tedious as are the private conversations between the author and Melania Trump.
The book is the ultimate betrayal of a so-called friendship between the author and Ms Trump. The betrayal goes to SMS emojis which are actually described in the book. So so sad.
Their lives other than their love of their children are shallow, boring, self centred and yes sad.

Brilliant piece of writing ✍️
It’s not too often I get to hear a book from the author’s own voice, some say you shouldn’t skip the expense. In this instance, Stephanie’s reading, was and as expected, exceptional. With the context of the contents of this book, it was appropriate to hear it from her.
I loved the content, the voice and the story that is backed up by evidence.

Great but also strangely disappointing.
The book was good. Stephanie W-W narrated well. But throughout the narration I just wanted to jump.into the book and shake some sense into the author.
She was a doormat for her entire relationship with Melania, and seemed to continuously mistake emojis for real emotions. It often crossed over into cringe worthy.
I just hope that SWW never forgets the lessons she has been taught.

Completely believable
Stephanie was sadly chewed up and spat out by the Trump team(not just the East Wing)when they believed she could no longer being a scape host for the outrageous amount of money lining certain pockets for the inauguration. For Melania to disingenuously pretend she barely knew this lady -after everything that Stephanie did for her-is far more telling about the person the First Lady is than it ever will be about who Stephanie. A Trump is a trump is a TRUMP. The only exception- Mary Trump.

Very interesting book-I no longer look at Melania Trump as a victim or the pitied wife of DJT. She is as calculating and cunning as her husband, and appears to have no real interest or dedication to the causes that she said she’d champion.
I couldn’t stop listening to it hence binge listened in 2 days!
I felt a deep sense of pity for the way the author was treated by the Trumps, it cost her her health, job and reputation and I hope this book will now clear her name
I highly recommend it!👍

Riveting listening
This is the inside story of Melania Trump and her close friend, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff. The book is well written and well narrated by the author.
It highlights how Donald and Melania use and abuse people; I feel that the author has given a truthful account and my heart goes out to her as she became one of the increasing members of his and her staff who are used until no longer wanted and are then hung out to dry. It is certainly an education to have an insider’s view of the machinations of the Trumps. I couldn’t stop listening to it and, having bought it yesterday, finished it today.

A story of being used. No enlightening info on Melania
I got a couple of things from this book. 1. That Donald finally picked his ideal wife and 2. That Stephanie was totally used like so many in this world by the powerful, the admired and the narcissists on the pedestals they place them on.
I kept with the story with the hope that Stephanie would be enlightened to the situation much earlier but grew increasingly frustrated that she didn’t seem to have a real ‘I’M DONE’ moment.
I’m glad she didn’t lose everything. I’m sure others were not so fortunate.

Interesting...
Interesting but not that revealing because you can tell Malania does not give herself away or get in too deep with her relationships hence why this book hasn't really given us much insight into Malania's inner thoughts, she probably keeps her gaurd up and only has on the surface relationships. I don't think Malania truly valued Stephanie's friendship or was even that close to her because she didn't share her true thoughts and feelings with her about the things that mattered, she was never vulnerable with Stephanie... Nevertheless, I enjoyed listening to this book.
