Die ursprünglich als Aufsatzserie in der anthroposophischen Presse erschienene Autobiographie Steiners Mein Lebensgang aus den Jahren 1924 und 1925 stellt den Versuch des Anthroposophiebegründers dar, der Entwicklung seines Lebens und Werkes im biographischen Rückblick klare Gestalt, Richtung und Bedeutung zu geben. Sie ist damit eine zentrale Quelle für jeden, der sich mit Leben und Ideen Steiners beschäftigt. (Die 70 Aufsätze wurden später von Marie Steiner in 38 Kapitel geordnet. Die vorliegende Ausgabe folgt der ursprünglichen Zählung nach Abschnitten, gibt aber auch die spätere nach Kapiteln im Inhaltsverzeichnis an.)
