Publisher's Summary

Dylan Monroe is the kind of chick females love to hate, but children and dogs mysteriously adore. She's a material girl, living in a material world filled with diamonds, furs, limousines, celebrities, and private planes. To the world, she has it all, but behind closed doors, she has nothing. Almost bankrupt, she finds solace with State, a wealthy entrepreneur with a heart of steel, the man who breaks her heart time and time again.

When State leaves her heart in shambles, she turns to Angel, her best friend's brother. She's had a secret crush on him for years. Swept off her feet by her new love, but still mending from the pain of the old one, Dylan finds herself caught up in a web of lies, lust, love, and betrayal.

Nationally best-selling author Keisha Ervin delivers a sophisticated love story filled with laughter, witty banter...and excessive shopping!

This book is from Sex and the City

If you seen the show or the movie Sex in the City save your credit or money. You already hear and seen the TV or Movie.

Lessons learned

I like Dylan’s story, she is a hot mess but it seems redemption is around the corner for her. Hope she doesn’t backslide. Her Mom is a @!$?... Anyway, the narrator is not horrible, I just wish all books were narrated like “First Wives Club: Melanin Magic”. Nicole Small & Joe Black brings the story to LIFE!

Too many takes from Sex and the City

I liked it, but there were too lines from the SATC episodes. I mean, line for line that I could guess what's was going to be said next.

Loved

I loved the book. I’d Definitely recommend.

You’re sure to get frustrated with the main character and her decisions. However, you will also grow to love her and all of her craziness,

Ok

I really liked this book and would recommend it. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. I would have given it 5 stars if the author hadn't used God's name in vain and if the narrator was good.

The narrator kept pausing and that wasn't good. The book had a good storyline and sexual storylines. This book made me laugh, mad and sad.

The book cover didn't match the description of Dylan the material girl and that was crazy. It was crazy that Billie wanted Dylan to tell her brother on his big fight day about her cheating. She could have told him after. That could have messed up his head for the fight. Billie was wrong for that. Dylan needed to be punished, but it could have waited until the fight was over.

I’m wishing and hoping there is a sequel... I love the fact of living and learning... good story line.
